Dusty Weekend

May 19, 2007 around lunchtime

The weather this weekend (and until now) has been horrid.  A major sandstorm has hit Kuwait which makes breathing and living difficult.  I just spent a weekend locked in closed places.  On Thursday I had dinner at Entrecote with friends I haven’t seen in a couple of months and was home by 10! Last night I decided to stay home because I couldn’t be bothered with the dust anymore.  Hopefully the weather will be a lot better next weekend so that I can spend some time at the beach.

How will you spend your weekend?

March 29, 2007 in the wee hours

Now that the skies have gotten clearer, the weather breezy yet amazing, and the 3 day weekend is here, how will you spend it?

I have nothing planned for the weekend yet but I am really looking forward to it. Usually, I have more fun when I end up doing things spontaneously. I usually don’t like planning anything but I always felt like there is a need to plan in Kuwait since I want to make sure I will be seeing people over the weekend.

This weekend I figure that there are plenty of friends whom I have not been capable of seeing in ages so I can catch up with them. I have some errands I would like to do. I seriously need to clean up my room… I can’t find my couch anymore since it’s full of clothes (mom will kill me when she reads this in Beirut). I am not in the mood for any parties really. I will definitely be doing some hardcore partying next week though.

I definitely am enjoying this laid back feeling. Y’all should try it some time.

It’s a wonderful feeling being so carefree and indifferent.

So.. I partied

March 25, 2007 in the early afternoon

My good friend Jazz and I got into the car and took off to the desert.

We weren’t sure what to expect but we had our minds set. We were going to have a good time no matter what.

The drive was long but we spent it catching up with each other’s news never failing to shock one another.

We were there, in the desert, not sure if we’re heading the right way, until we saw the light calling us to head towards it’s direction.

We walked in, and looking around we felt disappointed but we insisted we will have a good time, so we slapped a smile on our faces and danced the night away.

Friends kept coming and going and fake smiles were plastered throughout the night.

A few hours and blisters later we left.

The drive back was a drive down memory lane.  Listening to music we danced on in our teens. Groove Theory, Zhane, TLC, Janet, Aaliyah, and more, much more.

My smile became an authentic smile.

… and then, when I was almost home, and thinking my night was over, I was attacked… by the hiccups!!

Continuing Evolution

February 26, 2007 mid-afternoon

I have enjoyed this short holiday.  This holiday has truly been relaxing for me and it also made some things clear for me.  I am going to start working less and taking care of myself more.  I don’t know why I spend so many hours at work.  It’s not satisfying, nor rewarding, nor do I feel like I accomplished anything.  Therefore, 8 hours of work per day is more than sufficient.

Last night me and some friends thought we should play it smart.  We wanted to go out and decided to go to Hilton away from all the traffic.  To our surprise, the Hilton Resort had turned into Marina mall, and I have heard today that Marina mall was empty last night.

So basically that’s it.
