My brother Mark has a post including links of a homemade video during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and I watched them.  The videos which only briefly shows how a family were living during the war until Kuwait was liberated reminded me that Kuwait was almost deleted from the map.  It’s difficult to grasp since it has become a distant memory for myself and since the world around us has changed drastically during the past 16 years.  Looking at Kuwait now, you cannot imagine the dark days.

I can only hope that stability and security remain in Kuwait since those are rare treasures to find these days.

The weather this weekend (and until now) has been horrid.  A major sandstorm has hit Kuwait which makes breathing and living difficult.  I just spent a weekend locked in closed places.  On Thursday I had dinner at Entrecote with friends I haven’t seen in a couple of months and was home by 10! Last night I decided to stay home because I couldn’t be bothered with the dust anymore.  Hopefully the weather will be a lot better next weekend so that I can spend some time at the beach.

Some people are just weird, a colleague @ work asked me if i could deliver a gift for her cousin or friend i dont know here in Kuwait, i was like sure.

It was a gift for her and her newborn daughter or boy am not sure, anyway i called the person three days after i came, she said she d call back but she never did, then i called again 2 days ago, she said she d make it in the afternoon but never showed up.

Finally, i sent her an sms @ 7:30 in the morning to pick up her stuff and she sent someone to pick it up 10 minutes ago …

I dont know about other people but i would be curious to know what my friend sent me and go pick it up on the first day ..

Things are getting very interesting here, i watched the birth of a new band two days ago while i was in Entertainement City.

There is a place there where you can record your dancing or singing on any song u want and have it on dvd, we passed by to check it out when a band formed of five masked members started singing.

The band consisted of two girls masked as a baboon and an evil character, and the guys were dressed as a cowboy, a clown and a big nose funny character

When they started dancing, everyone started showing up to the place to watch them on the tvs placed outside of the studio and when the babboon, their lead singer, started singing, people started dancing and cheering her.

When they were done, people didnt stop clapping for around 10 minutes, and the band sneaked from a backdoor to run away from the crowds.

Entertainement City turned into a major concert this night.

No one still knows the identity of those five, their story was all over the papers the next day and rumors have been spreading that the five were from Star Academy and the story will be revealed in the next prime.
