Days Go By…

February 8, 2007 mid-afternoon

Whilst tensions are rising in Lebanon, here in my side of the world, Kuwait, things are rather calm. Well, Kuwait has always actually been a really calm place to live in… sometimes I think it’s a bit too calm for my taste.

Work has been taking up a lot of my time recently yet I have been managing to meet up with friends socially.

The weekend is here. I still have some errands to run for an event I am managing that will take place next week but besides that I expect a relatively calm weekend.

I am sick and tired of the regular places me and my friends hang out with. Nothing exciting anymore. I need something to spice up my life a bit… maybe a someone.

I am quite bored with my life at the moment and am in desperate need of a major change. I never was the type who would enjoy stability, routine and security but it does seem that I have gotten quite cozy recently. It definitely eases my mind, but deep down inside I want some excitement in my life. I want to feel all tingly and happy… really and truly happy.

A hundred days have made me older
Since the last time that I saw your pretty face
A thousand lies have made me colder
And I don’t think I can look at this the same
But all the miles that separate
Disappear now when I’m dreaming of your face

I’m here without you baby
But you’re still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
But you’re still with me in my dreams
And tonight it’s only you and me

The miles just keep rollin’
As the people leave their way to say hello
I’ve heard this life is overrated
But I hope that it gets better as we go

I’m here without you baby
But you’re still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
But you’re still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl its only you and me

Everything I know, and anywhere I go
It gets hard but it wont take away my love
And when the last one falls
When it’s all said and done
It gets hard but it wont take away my love

I’m here without you baby
But you’re still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
But you’re still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl its only you and me

Excitement? Why not pop across the border and see how the Assyrian Christians have been doing? Or head to Dubai for a facial?

Try taking a university class in an area you’ve always wanted to explore.

Starting to learn a new language in preparation for a planned trip abroad (China?).

    Learning a (new) sport.

    Volunteering in a charity organization.

Zvi… those are very good ideas. I think I will learn a language…or actually improve on a language.

It is a great song. It’s a few years old but I like to go back to every once in a while…

If not a facial, why not check out the pearl divers? There must be a zillion things to do in Dubai.

Have you ever flown in a hot-air balloon? Gone hunting for desert truffles? Or tried bannana slices on a peanut-butter sandwich?

OK, maybe that last isn’t so exciting. But you might meet that Someone Special while you’re doing it…

It wont be that calm in kuwait very soon..Though you need a facial but i suggest you get yourself a gas mask or a ticket when it rains iranian skuds.

Interesting what you said! No need to go t Dubai, if you want we can go to spa time. But in regards to what you were saying. keep in mind, you don’t know how some things can suddenly turn around.
