Who would have dreamt of getting our sovereignty and independance back that soon ?
Let us not forget where we were almost 2 years from now, let us not forget where we were 30 years from now …

And the Lebanese civil war was so pointless; there were and will be no winners in such a conflict. The survivors inherit a traumatized population, a smashed economy and a history of betrayals and resentments that makes reconstruction difficult and encourages different ethnic groups to maintain private armies.
Those vying for power need to understand that no matter what their grievances or needs, the chances that their sect will prosper and have a say in the future of the country are much better in a rapidly growing, stable state than they are in the aftermath of a civil war.
