Phoenicia Village

Now this is a project I have mixed feelings about. It’s a great thing because its a $1.1 billion investment. BUT do I really want that on our seafront? It’s going to block a lot of view for the other buildings. A lot of you might be thinking that it’s just blocking the port, but it blocks the view of the mountains as well.

The company behind this project is Levant Holdings which is a Kuwaiti company. The project was put on hold after the July War ended. They got the green light for the project from the authorities in April. By May they had acquired 60% of shares already. I am sure that they will continue with this project sooner or later.

The project with contain residential units, offices, retails spaces, and hotels. What do you think of it?

Rampurple habibti, what is the source of the pics?

Malfono, google it and you will find it. Its on IFP, Dailystar, and skyscraper city. Also, they have held a press conference on it and apparently a lot of investors/businessmen in Kuwait know about it. I don’t know how I didn’t know about it. :S

I think it’s horrible. It will totally distort the center of the city.

worse, it targets only the elites of the society, + wasting a good 1.1 billion dollars ruining Gemayzi (if i remember well) and more than that, what if the Israelis came and blew it in two seconds.

MFL if we’re going to keep thinking that Israel might bomb any structural building, ya3tik el 3afieh.
But if you’re argument is “targetting the elite of the society” sar wade3 teneh. However it seems Lebanon is only going to become a place for “elites”.
