Save Gemayze

Thanks to Paul over at Finkbine Ln, I was made aware of a petition that might help prevent the building of new towers in the Gemayze district.  Gemayze, for those who don’t know, is an old district full of architecturally beautiful, old, high ceiling buildings and homes that are what I consider a true Lebanese signature.

    What would be more natural for me than to visit Beirut and to see the gemaze district that you are writing about? Looks like it will never happen.
    I wont be reading your blogs for a while as i am off to Italy on vacation tomorrow morning. All packed up and ready to go.
