Lebanese Bloggers Reactions To Qana Massacre
From Beirut Note: click to read entire post
One more time, Israel turned life into death in the village of Qana where Christ supposedly attended a wedding and turned water into wine.
The Israelis massacred, butchered, tore the limbs of at least 51 people including 22 children.
The democratic state of Israel, the moral state of Israel is burning Lebanese children alive to the god of Zionism.
Ten years ago Israel massacred more than 100 refugees in a UN base in Qana. And Israel went unpunished.
Lebanese kids are inferior, aren’t they? They do not matter to Western societies. Israel can kill as it pleases and wishes, and it is always unintentional.
Blogging the Middle East:
I won’t say more. Footage of the massacre is worth a thousand words. If you have Al-Jazeera you might be able to see some of it. Some pics are also available here.
The Lebanese government has rejected to sit down for any NEGOTIATIONS until complete, unconditional ceasefire is in place, and has refused to welcome Condoleezza Rice.

I am sure an Israeli statement will resemble the following:
Dear residents of Qana,
It is your fault that you have not been able to flee from the village. We have given you numerous warning and have made it a lot easier for you by shelling every inch of your country. There is no excuse for you to still be in the South of Lebanon. Why haven’t you crossed all the bridges we have brought down? Why haven’t you taken a bus and drove out of the city? Sure we are striking buses, but what are the chances that your bus will be hit? It is only a ninety nine per cent chance that we will kill you and your family when you are fleeing.
ANYONE WHO DOES NOT TRY TO PUT AN END TO THIS HORROR IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM IS AN ACCOMPLICE TO THESE CRIMES.
DONT JUST READ. DONT JUST WATCH.
DO SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
THIS HAS TO STOP NOW.

The pictures of the rescuers of the civil defense pulling the children from under the rubbles are horrific. Some of them were crying so were some of the photographers. Israel cut off the roads between the villages and cities. It hits moving cars, trucks and ambulances. It hits convoys of civilians fleeing. Those in Qana thought it would be safer to stay put. They were wrong. Now they are dead. I can almost predict what Israel will say. It will be the same shit it said in 1996 when it slaughtered more than 100 women and children taking the UN base as a shelter. Perez was PM then.

Whenever Israel loses militarily, it likes to take it on powerless babies. It couldn’t defeat a bunch of guerrillas in a couple of small towns with its “mighty” army, so it decided to take the cowardly route.
They want to “teach us a lesson” by bombing a clear civilian target with women and handicapped babies in Qana. So far, 30 babies are dead in this all-too-familiar massacre, and some are stuck in the rubbles because Israelis refused to allow humanitarian assistance to reach Southern towns.

On the day of another massacre in Qana,
mostly children died today, 27 children out of the 51 dead
the world is still frozen
Olmert just said that they’re not in a hurry for a cease-fire
He said we warned the people of Qana before we attacked
They try to break us
As the world allows them to use terror
disarm or you all die
in cold blood…
Qana falls victim of another savage war crime by the Israeli War Machine.
10 years after the first Qana massacre, and as part of their ethnic cleansing practices in the South, Israel hit a shelter in the Southern Village of Qana before dawn.
55+ dead, 21+ children.
Must be those precision Smart bombs that Condy Rice rushed to Israel.
Express your outrage today at the Grand Seray.

hi rampurple, yes, Qana is tragic, painful and so wrong. the only thing i can do is to share your sadness. and it’s not only me but alot of my friends here. i understand your hatred, hope one day it will heal

Where are the so called religious leaders and why do so many of them when they talk, propose violence– against the teachings of Islam and Christianity? It seems that they are very much a part of the problem and it is a massive failure of religion and no one is willing to even discuss it for fear of death…that is what religion has become.

If you check out the US media, you’ll see that many outlets have bought the line that Rice cancelled the meeting and not the other way around.
I understand your reactions today and I can’t for a moment imagine what it’s like living under fire.
But once the dust settles the facts still remain. We need to find an end to this awful conflict and now more than ever.
Much as it sticks in the throat, that’s only going to happen with the cooperation of the US, as the world’s only superpower and Israel’s main ally. It would be in everyone’s interests if that cancelled meeting tody does go ahead and soon.

A solution to end the war in Lebanon NOW
The Lebanese could take their fate into their own hands, and not wait for the US to tell Israel to stop (actually, we know the US has rushed and is rushing more bombs to the Israelis for the continuation of the “war”, which is clearly no more than the coldblood onslaugh by the Israelis of Lebanese civilians using US precision laser-guided bombs)
Don’t WAIT for a cease-fire!
My solution to immediately end this continuing massacre is this:
All the refugees who had fled must now rise from their shelters and, with their children, march back south, unarmed, and drive the Israelis army out of South Lebanon.
If you agree with me, then please suggest this solution by posting on all forum boards which you know.
Thank You.

hey.boys. It’s, uh,y’know, war against a gutless enemy that hides behind women and children as a strategy. Whch IS a war crime. What did you THiNK would happen? Duhhh..
Quit standing up for terrorists. And try to overcome your deranged hatred,or you’ll always have third world countries. Israel did not start this war. They were out of Lebanon. Or didn’t you notice?
Whiners. Quit supporting terrorists. It lead to wars.

@steve. Terrorism is in the eye of the beholder. As I see it , the US and its satellites (esp. Israel) are the biggest terrorists in the world as we know it today. It is long past time for a ceasefire, and the only nations who have consistently and actively resisted a ceasefire here are the US, Israel, and Blair’s UK. Does Israel really think that it can “win” this war?? If it “wipes out” Hizbollah, nine Hizbollahs by any other name will spring up from the charred and blood-soaked ground the IDF has left in its wake. Let’s also remember that the 2 Israeli soldiers who were captured by the Hizbollah were to be used in a swap for some of the 1000s of prisoners being detained by the Israelis. The 2 were captured on Lebanese soil. AND the parents of one of them have gone on record in France saying that they feel what Israel is doing is not going to help bring their son back. They spoke out against this war/crime. The least the rest of us can do, those of us who are not immediately involved with our lives and limbs, is to do the same and push our governments to DEMAND a ceasefire. My thoughts and prayers are with the Lebanese people who are bearing the brunt of this. At least the innocent people in Israel ALL have shelters to hide in, and a massive, functioning infrastructure. Where can the Lebanese villagers go???
