I am so sick of it all!
I am sick of people telling me Hizballah was able to “raise my head” so I can walk in pride by fighting the Israelis for 18 days! My head has always been raised!
I am sick of people telling me the United States, Britain, and Israel are the “good” people who will bring prosperity and peace to Lebanon! That’s utter bullshit!
I am sick of reading about how many people are dying and how much money we have lost so far!
I am sick of people telling me that Lebanon has always been destroyed and always is able to stand up again! Yes, we’ve done it before but it’s time to move on!
I am sick of people telling me how Hizballah and Lebanon had a choice to follow UN sanctions, especially from the Americans because I can give you a list of UN sanctions that Israel and US have broke.
I am sick of people telling me that Hizballah has broken rules from the Geneva convention because so has Israel.
I am sick of people insulting each other.
I am sick of religion being involved in each war. Religion was not created for us to have wars over.
I am sick of people telling me this is a holy war and Lebanon should be proud to be a part of it. You freaking sick people open your borders to a holy war and stop using my land as a utility!
What you guys just don’t seem to get is that there is no good side and bad side. Not everything is about the good and the evil. Both sides are just plain evil.
The way I figure it is like this:
I own a house and have a family. I have always allowed my neighbors to come in to my house as they wish and use my house as a place for their social gatherings, feuds, etc. I realized that doing such a thing has been causing my children to do poorly in school. So I made a decision to close my doors, put up a fence around my house and concentrate more on my family. I tell my neighbors, I am sorry but it is time I concentrate of taking care of my family. If you guys need any support I will be there for you but not in my house anymore.
It’s my right to do so.
My children are actually the people dying in Lebanon at the moment. My children are actually the people who have worked so hard in order to reach somewhere in their lives and all of a sudden their lives have been placed on hold and/or their dreams diminished. My children are the people who like everyone else would like to plan their lives and not be in fear of a war being erupted at any time.
I am just sick of this whole situation and want it to be over.

I couldnt have said it better myself. Two thumbs up to everything you said. Bastards! Leave our country alone.
July 29th, 2006 | #
I totally agree… This whole situation has been getting me sick too. And I am sick of having to constantly say what I think when it doesn’t matter to anyone but myself. They have put us in ruins, both sides. But what is sader than all this, is that none will ever regret it, and I pitty them so much for it.

What do you think Lebanon will be like in 20 years if hizbullah takes over?
What do you think Lebanon will be like in 20 years if Israel wipes out hizbullah and forces a secular government to take over?
Which is the better outcome?
July 29th, 2006 | #
Daniel… what’s your point?
July 29th, 2006 | #
New rule on the blog. Anyone who insults another… no matter where ur from will have their comment deleted.
July 29th, 2006 | #
So, where were you when Israel withdrew in 2000 and the U.N. stood by while Hizbollah (thanks to Iran and Syria) amassed arms for just this eventuality?
Were you sick of it all then? Did you not see the train coming? Did you not condemn Hizbollah for placing your country on a powder keg?
What should Israel have done in response to the unprovoked attack on July 12th?
July 29th, 2006 | #
ram purple i didnt insult anyone, i used %$#$#$
Its not fair i’m upset, i was trying really hard not to insult anybody!
July 29th, 2006 | #
Jimmy… Lebanon was under Syria’s rule until last year. Since last year we have been trying to solve Hizballahs issue.
Also, it’s not like Israel sat back silently the past 6 years.
Again… if you read the post one more time you will realize i am not pro-hizballah and I am not pro-israel.
I AM pro-peace
July 29th, 2006 | #
what did i say that was insulting! is flies buzzing an insult! you should post up something that tells us what the insults are!
July 29th, 2006 | #
Jess… it’s not about actually using swear words. Its attacking each other instead of discussing your views. you guys are attacking each other on a personal level and that is what i will not allow.
July 29th, 2006 | #
yeah Daniel, what’s the point? Cause who ever made you beleive that Israel wants Lebanon with a secular Governement.
July 29th, 2006 | #
Forgive me, I wasn’t trying to imply you were pro-Hizbollah. I’m just trying to understand what you believe Israel’s options were on July 12,
July 29th, 2006 | #
ok fine let me re-phrase my deleted post:
grrr
I was saying, Mister Daniel, i’m not a fool, my countries interest, safety and prosperity is not in your interest, or the isreali interest, so whatever you say i will think the opposite to be the truth. it is not in ur interest that the lebanese unite, your war against terrorism is a sorry excuse, and we know what ur ulterior motive is, when i say ‘you’ i mean israel. you are trying to make us hate each other, i have also read sun tzu.
July 29th, 2006 | #
Yes. Precisely. Those that foment this, on both sides, would see the peace-loving divided. There can only be UNTIY where there is DIVERSITY. Once we choose “sides” there can only be disagreement, conflict and in the end…war.
July 29th, 2006 | #
What gave you the opinion Israel wants anything but a secular government?
Diversity is craziness. Diversity is exploited by groups like hizbullah to further their agenda. As soon as they have power they remove all of this diversity you love so much.
You? What gave you the impression I was Israeli? jess, if you really believe the goal of this war is to get Lebanese to hate each other then you are a fool. Israel gains nothing by having a fractured Lebanon.
Where do you guys get this garbage that Israel wants Lebanese to hate each other and wants to destroy all Lebanese. Is this the Al Arabiya or Al Manar opinion? It sure sounds like it.
My point is that your actually has a future with Israel steering its growth. With Hizbullah continuing to exist and gain more power with the growth of the shia community, you will have another Iran within 20 years. How is this in Israel’s best interest?
Put down the wacky shisha, turn off the al Manar and open your eyes.
July 29th, 2006 | #
Very good points you got there, I feel exactly the same, sick-of-it-all!
July 29th, 2006 | #
Daniel, read the post i wrote in “Lebanon is living it’s worst Nighmare” Maybe it would answer your questions about the dividing poeple issue.
July 29th, 2006 | #
Hi there Daniel,
this is where i get my ‘garbage’ from,
“It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonialization, or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands.”
— Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.
“We must expel Arabs and take their places.”
— David Ben Gurion, 1937, Ben Gurion and the Palestine Arabs, Oxford University Press, 1985.
right from the horses mouth. cheers!

Check AFP’s archives. No such thing. Go ahead, contact them yourself to ask for a confirmation. You won’t get one.
This same quote was previously falsely attrributed to one Yoram Bar Porath, from 1972. How convenient!
To give you more ideas of what garbage you consume, see:

I already debunked this last week in this blog comment.
right from the horses mouth.
Whoa, horsey!
Now try thinking rationally what it means that the quotes are fake and in many cases, just the exact opposite was said.
Here are some more Zionist quotes for you to ponder.
Have a nice day.
July 29th, 2006 | #
Jess,
I didn’t know you were such a scholar of Israeli history with your quotations of Ben Gurion and Sharon. Why do I have a sneaky suspicion that you picked those (fabricated) quotes off some anti-Israel Web site.
Perhaps one day you can develop critical analysis skills of your own instead of regurgitating jihadi propaganda!
Here’s hoping . . .

I am sick of terrorists hiding behind innocents in order to achieve their military goals. I am sick of governments that allow terrorists to flourish in their midst who then attack a sovereign nation. I am sick of those that blame Israel because they finally have had one too many rockets reign down on civilians. I am sick of those that find a moral equivalance to those seeking to kill civilians and those that fight against armed combatants. I am sick of impotent Lebanese people that will not fight to get their country back from Islamic extremists.
July 30th, 2006 | #
Even if those quotes are real, and I challenge their authenticity, what the FUCK do they have to do with Lebanon? Nothing! I’ve yet to see the first quotation conclusively pinned on Ariel Sharon. You DID take them from anti-Semitic websites and you DIDN’T fact check very well.
You are a nasserite fascist who believes that all arabs must unite together and destroy the Jews.

Daniel you are a piece of work. Jess pointed the source so if you are not an ignorant ass check those up then talks.
As I understand you Israelis are absent of conmen sense and critical thinking.
You don’t give up even you feel that you are wrong or it is against of your moral. I guess that is because you don’t have one!

“True” American can’t deal with the links posted showing the typical false quotes made up to suit the Arab’s requirements.
And “A”, no, Daniel meant “Jews”, not just “Israelis”, another Arab denial of facts, even as they themselves create them.

To Avraham
It is because you are so lazy ass. Let say the truth, you don’t give a shit about it.
And I did not know that the name Avraham in your language means Daniel!!!
July 30th, 2006 | #
What’s the matter, TA? Still can’t deal item for item, word for word, with the links I posted last night, refuting Jess’ typical false quotes. Try a little harder.
And other than pointing out that the names Daniel and Avraham are not the same, can you deal with the realities of the issue that what Arabs and Muslims say amongst themselves that it is the Jews that are their target, even more so than Israelis.
Oh, did you call me a “lazy ass”? TA called me names.

Avraham this is your idea of terrorism:
“QANA, Lebanon (Reuters) - An Israeli air strike killed at least 40 Lebanese civilians, including 21 children, in the southern village of Qana on Sunday, in the bloodiest single attack during Israel’s 19-day-old war on Hizbollah.” The latest new on yahoo.

And now the number is 51 including 22 children.

You could’nt be more wrong Avraham… I am sorry to tell you that. There is unfortunetly no way to prove that to you, since you obviously havne’t been able to interact with anyone but jews! But you could’nt be mroe wrong about ARABS having a goal which is to kill JEWS. Sorry you weren’t lucky enough to discover that.

Hi there Daniel and Avraham baby,
Here are my sources, as shown in my post above but it seems that u two sweeties are having some trouble reading something that shows the truth for a change…
Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.
Oxford University Press, 1985.
The quotes are not fabricated, and they are not from pro palestinian sites, if you believe it to be the case, prove it to me. i am all ears.
stuff that is also interesting,
“* British journalist Robert Fisk, known for his virulent anti-Israel sentiment, wrote a column for The Independent in April 2001 entitled: “When Journalists Refuse to Tell the Truth About Israel.” Suggesting that journalists fear being “slandered” as anti-Semites, he accuses them of covering up Israel’s supposed guilt thus “abetting terrible deeds in the Middle East.” Of the “truths” journalists are being censured for refusing to tell are several contemptuous quotes attributed to Israel’s leaders.”
take it easy guys, looks like from your comments above that one of you is about to get a heart attack
July 30th, 2006 | #
captian america, well what made you a scholar of palestinian and arab history?
July 30th, 2006 | #
To Geo,
you say:
“I am sick of those that find a moral equivalance to those seeking to kill civilians and those that fight against armed combatants.”
Well Mr Geo let’s check the numbers:
Israelis killed: 45 SOLDIERS, 18 civilians
Lebanese killed: 28 Hezbollah fighters, 750 civilians
What’s the unescapable conclusion mr morality?
You are sick of yourself!!

Hi all. I am finding the events in Lebanon to be an ever increasing downward spiraling nightmare. I am a true believer in the right of Israel to exist as a homeland for the Jewish people. But what is happening in Lebanon seems to be the very opposite of what Israel is supposed to represent. Please, can someone tell me how this can be settled as long as armed groups exist on Israel’s borders with the avowed purpose of exterminating the state of Israel?
What can be done about this? I truly believe that at bottom, all of what is happening is an armed debate about Israel’s right to exist. And no one seems to want to come out and say what they really believe.

these conversations are always always held, repeated.. we’ve totally forgotten that this is black and white. this is a case of foreign occupiers. israeli’s are entering land that however far back in history u go, was never theirs. the palestinians live in refugee camps from which they can watch what used to be theirs and what was stolen and destroyed. israel was created on the basis of the horrofic crimes of world war II, yet they do not seem to find it difficult to themselves show any mercy or remorse. It is completely hypocritical as well as utterly disgusting. This so called war which has gone on for 60 years, is black and white. It is a case of the most highly developed army, against a nation that has NO ARMY WHATSOEVER. It only has people who can ONLY use their own bodies as weapons, they have been pushed to limits in which they become fearful of nothing and ready for everything. The double standards are mind blowing, when have u heard of a refugee camp in israel? nowadays there’s f*n tourism ads to tel aviv whilst not so far off people’s homes are being destroyed and children and parents killed. The problem and issue is not that a man has strapped himself in bombs and killed people, the issue is why and how any man has been pushed to do so. What is the difference in him and a man in an army uniform? Apart from that the former does not fear death, he is a freedom fighter. The injustice is undeniable and the disregard to human rights, and the value of life is not existent in the eyes of any israeli, apart from when ONE of their own die. The nation of Israel seems incapable of understanding that it has occupied and made its land surrounded by people who hate them more than anything, it is the only thing they agree on, and the solution to that is not to become even more barbaric, to become even more militant and evil, it is to co-operate and stop making enemies and wiping out and destroying a beautiful land. How the fuck does an occupier become a victim?
