Ride Along

April 30, 2006 in the early afternoon

Most of us have questioned life and it’s meaning. A lot of us go through this questioning phase during high school. I guess we wash away our concerns with the excitement of going away for university.

It takes us a while to settle in to our college lives, making friends, getting to know the area, getting our driver’s license, getting our first car, our first house. Once we settle in, we start questioning our lives again, but then the excitement of graduation gets over us once again and we start planning our lives ecstatically once again. Our life plans usually never come true.

Then, once we start working we get all excited about the new job, and the career path that lies ahead of us, and the money we’re making and how we are going to spend it all. Somewhere along the line, the question returns.

What’s the point of our lives? What are we doing with our lives? and then what?

Should I just not question and sees where this boat is going to take me? or should I be planning my next location? Should I lead my life or have my life lead… through faith. Maybe then I would have less dissapointments in my life.

I’m letting to boat take me to wherever it has as it’s destination! I have a clue as to what I want in the future but I am taking it a day at a time!

Well you got one half correct, you could just not question anything and leave it to fate, destiny or time, or you could plan ur life ahead so that u wont have time for those questions .. u know every couple of years moving to a different location, new job new hobbies i dunno… Personally these kind of questions always haunt me, i think about them most of the time. It is as if we are not quite satisfied with ourselves that we ask these questions, maybe it is our conscious telling us that we should move forward, and that what we have now, or where we are is not suitable for us anymore … dnno just rambling

stallion… maybe the reason u r taking it a day at a time is coz u have no clue as to what u want in the future.

fractal… i totally understand… i think i agree, it could be coz we’re just not satisfied with where we are right now and want to move on.

do it my way, put a goal so far to reach and spend your life trying to get to it. Fool yourself each day thinking you are closer and pretend to be happy getting there.
