Back and Search

I returned from Beirut on Monday.

This trip was interesting since I was never this Rita in Lebanon. I got there on Wednesday and left on Monday. I didn’t go clubbing. I didn’t feel like it and was not up to it.

I got to spend quite a lot of time with my grandparents, mostly with my grandmother who has started having short term memory problems.

I got to spend a lot of time on the balcony alone just watching people pass by and wondering what their lives are all about.

Recently I’ve been wondering if I am aging or if there is something wrong with me. The little meaningless things in life that used to make me feel fresh, vibrant, and youthful just don’t affect me anymore. I feel like rejuvenating. I just don’t know how to do so.

I think I am in an interesting place in life. I have learnt to how to deal with some stability in my life, something I never knew how to do. I have been living in Kuwait for five years non-stop, I have had the same friends for at least 3 years now, I have had my job for 2 and a half years, and many more stuff follow the same path.  I also think that I am learning how to take things day at a time and more importantly how to maintain relationships with people around me, and distinguish those relationships and their importance to me.

I believe, since I started this new chapter in my blog years called “Uncovering Rita” that this is the first time, I sincerely try to uncover Rita.

Leaving

I am leaving to Lebanon tomorrow.  I will be gone for a few days.  It was unplanned for but I have urgent matters to take care of.

Enjoy the upcoming few days …

Antoine Ghanem Hit

An explosion occurred in Sin el Fil.

It seems this time the target was Antoine Ghanem, a Kataeb parliament member. Apparently he is injured and headed towards the hospital.

It looks a lot has been damaged and destroyed.

I’m real pissed

Update: Antoine Ghanem is declared dead. R.I.P.
We still don’t have the number of the injured or dead in this explosion.

Update 2: 6 dead so far and approximately 20 injured

Update 3: LBC has just announced 9 dead and over 40 injured.

D.D. 33

Results:

I have lost a total of 3kg since I have started and I fit into jeans which I haven’t been able to wear for 4 months.

My feelings:

I am content.  My target was to lose 4kg in one month so 3kg is not so bad. My objective was to eat healthier, live healthier… I am.  I did not do a radical change, but the minor change I did make made a difference.

Heaven In Kuwait

Calling all fashionistas! Calling all shoes freaks!

The other night, me and my brother Patrick went to have dinner at Entrecote in fanar. Guess what I found on the same level? My heart skipped a beat when I saw the name… as I headed closer to the store, I started to have problems breathing… Patrick supported me and held my hand throughout… My dear readers, Maria Pino is open in Kuwait and apparently has been open for 3 months.

I walked into the store, I stared at the shoes that were lined up so beautifully. I made notes of which shoes and bags I want to buy.

People! I have found my heaven in Kuwait…

What’s new?

Israel carrying out flights over Syria as well as an air-strike well into Syria.
Two carriers returned to the Arabian Gulf in addition to the USS Enterprise which already has been around for a while.

So, what’s up?
